The College of Saint Thomas More seeks to be a resource for students from diverse backgrounds.interested in learning.

•  Students who are high-school aged juniors and seniors seeking the formation of mind and thought at the collegiate level
•  Students who are undecided regarding academic majors, careers, the choice of colleges and universities.  These are students dealing with issues regarding living at home, part-time jobs, financial aid, and other life circumstances who want to take time to consider options and find the best.
•  Students who are eager to penetrate the mysteries of how people think and who themselves possess a seriousness about getting to the heart of knowledge and wisdom, seeking answers in order to meet the challenges of life.
•  Students who have undertaken some academic work after high school and/or having grown older and succeeded in the world of work, science, and technology now desire to explore the wisdom of the humanities.  These students are ready to submit themselves seriously to the requirements of academics and the requirements for earning a degree because they see how the advantages of studying the classics for building a career in law, the professions, or in teaching.   
•  Especially, older students who seek the consolation of philosophy and the insights of saepientia Christiana. These students are inspired by the beauty of wisdom and insight.  They love truths about man and God and being and seek always to expand their insights through contemplation and conversation.

Recognizing that first and second year college learning orients students to the different fields of knowledge while introducing them to the repository of knowledge illuminated by tradition, the curriculum is designed to provide a foundation for further studies and career development.  It seeks to build upon a student’s prior academic work then develop strategies for continued study—either in the arts and sciences, business, or the professions.  A fundamental aspect of the curriculum is to advise students about academic and educational opportunities in order and to facilitate their transition to advanced studies, careers, and programs.
