Mr. Albert Doskey

Having been matriculated in Plan II at the University of Texas at Austin, Mr. Doskey obtained a B.A. in Plan II and Spanish Literature and a B.S. in Mathematics. He wrote his undergraduate thesis on the good life in De los Nombres de Cristo by Fray Luis de Leon. Upon graduating he taught high school and then pursued studies in philosophy at the University of Dallas. After studying at the University of Dallas, he attended Ave Maria University where he obtained an M.A. in Sacred Theology, in part continuing with his study of Fray Luis by translating and comparing the commentaries of Fray Luis and Cajetan on the form of the consecration according to St. Thomas. Mr. Doskey then taught high school again before returning once more to university, attending Catholic University of America. There he is Ph.D. candidate in Historical Theology, writing on tradition in the works of Melchior Cano. Concerning time and place, his interests are primarily, not solely, in the long 16th century in Spain. Topically, he has particular interest is questions of revelation, tradition, development of doctrine, and ecclesiology.

Currently he teaches Latin, mathematics, and religion at a high-school cooperative for Catholics in the DFW area when not working at The College of Saint Thomas More. He also recently published a two part article on the Vulgate and the Council of Trent in The Latin Mass.
