The College launches Business Forum

Raymond Pfang – Director of the CSTM Business Forum

Thursday Oct 20th 2011 saw the inaugural launch of the CSTM Business Forum. Attended by invited guests, faculty, staff, and students, the evening’s event began with a warm welcome given by Forum Director – Raymond Pfang. Mr. Pfang gave his audience a quick reminder about the purpose of the Forum: to build links with members of the business community; these links and relationships are seen by the College as being important in enhancing the employability of CSTM’s graduates. Through various initiatives and collaborations, the Forum would also serve to increase the College’s profile within the local Fort Worth community.

The importance of the Business Forum was affirmed by College President – Michael King, the evening’s Guest Speaker, who gave the gathering an interesting update of College developments. In his presentation, Mr. King outlined the significant efforts which had been made, thus far, to improve the existing infrastructure and management; he also took the opportunity to highlight the challenges still facing the institution and to explain the efforts which were being made to achieve some of the College’s long term objectives. The champagne reception which followed helped guests network amiably. The evening’s conviviality was ensured by a fine spread of Greek salad, croissants, smoked beef sandwiches, cheeses and fruits – lovingly prepared by our ‘executive chef’ Mrs Edwina Steele.
